The Mixtape - Vol .2 is inspired by lyrics of songs that really resonate with me. In this exhibition, I want to celebrate the power and poetry found in song lyrics, with a focus on the work of non-binary and female artists. Poetic lines within songs often paint vivid images in my mind when I hear them and this exhibition is my translation of these emotions and memories into visual form, art reacting to art. By exclusively drawing from female or gender nonconforming artists, I aim to explore and express a connection that feels authentic and representational to my own personal experiences.
